It’s time for investors to get back into Electrocomponents, 0.9p off at 211.8p, says Faraday Research. The world’s biggest distributor of electronics and maintenance products has managed to keep growing sales right across its business. Much of its growth is coming from its international operations, which are experiencing solid trading conditions. Its balance sheet is strong.

“If I was an investor, personally [Facebook] isn’t something I’d be getting involved in. You’re taking a hell of a lot on trust, and it’s a pretty punchy valuation,” Lowery told “Squawk Box Europe.” “There’s a lot of hype out there and by the sounds of it, they’re pricing the IPO a bit lower just so they don’t suffer from a collapse on the first day of trading.”

News of an oversubscribed 6.6m share placing at 120p with institutional investors left Highland Gold Mining 3.5p easier at 128p.Gold oil spurted 1.52p to 5.8p on a Faraday Research recommendation. The company recently said that oil majors are showing an interest in its operations in Peru.
